Many volunteers from our parish are Liturgical Ministers. If you would like to volunteer for any of these roles, call 982-2346.

 

  • Lector: Proclaims Scripture Readings and leads the General Intercessions during Eucharistic celebrations

 

  • Cantor:  Leader of prayer through song during the weekend masses and special occasions.   A cantor leads the songs, introduces new music, and encourages participation with the assembly.

 

  • Eucharistic Minister: Assists in the distribution of Holy Communion, both the Body and Blood of Jesus, at Eucharistic celebrations. A group of Eucharistic Ministers also bring Holy Communion to the sick, homebound, and nursing homes.

 

  • Altar Server: Serves during the weekday/weekend masses, funerals, and special occasions.  Training is provided for servers.

 

  • Musician: Accompanies the choir, assembly, and cantor on organ, piano, guitar, or other musical instruments. 

 

  • Adult Choir: Sings for special liturgical celebrations. 

 

  • Greeters: Welcomes people before the weekend Masses

 

  • Usher: Welcomes and greets each person when they come to Mass, assists seating families when needed, collects donations during offertory, helps with the offertory gifts, distributes bulletins, and makes sure the church is ready for the next Mass.

 

  • Gift Bearers: Presents the assembly's gifts of bread and wine to the altar during offertory collection.

 

  • Arts & Environment: Provides the sanctuary with appropriate seasonal decorations.

 

  • Weekend Sacristan:  Sets up before Mass/put away items after Mass

 

  • Weekday Sacristan: Some responsibilites include maintaining the physical articles used in the liturgy such as linens, vestments, albs, and candles; keeps the sanctuary and other areas cleaned in the church as well as caring for and watering plants and flowers; stuffing bulletin inserts, etc.
