Sacramental Preparation

First Reconciliation-Reconciliation “brings to the Christian God’s merciful forgiveness for any sins committed after Baptism, and it brings the sinner consolation and peace” (AFC, 69).

 

+Students must be baptized.

+A First Reconciliation Rehearsal and Prayer Service will be held, and families will be notified by email of dates.

First Holy Communion-Holy Communion is “the Eucharistic meal of the Body and Blood of Christ, which: )1) reminds us of the Last Supper, (2) celebrates our unity with one another in Christ, and (3) is a foretaste of the eternal Messianic Banquet of Heaven” (AFC, 245).

 

+Students must be baptized.

+Traditionally, parishes in the Diocese of Green Bay celebrate this sacrament in second grade. If the child has not been in any religious education class, please contact Ashley Ellis or Kelly McKibben, RE/YM.

+Regular attendance at Sunday Mass with family is expected for each child preparing to receive First Holy Communion.

+Students must know their prayers: Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition.

 

Confirmation-Confirmation is “a sacrament that confirms or strengthens the life of the Spirit which was given to us at Baptism. In virtue of this sacrament, the faithful are obliged to spread and defend the Faith as true witnesses of Christ” (AFC, 59).

 

+Students must be baptized.

+Students must have a desire to receive the sacrament.

+At our parish, students receive the sacrament of Confirmation at the end of their junior year and must have completed the high school religious education classes. If they have not been in any high school religious education class, please contact
